Traffic Website
This project involved
the creation of a real-time traffic information
website for the San Francisco Bay Area’s
Metropolitan Transportation Commission,
and the development of the Glimpse
traffic-site engine. Ken served on this
project as a project planner, responsible
for authoring and maintaining the Project
Schedule (MS Project). He was a primary
contributor on all major project documentation,
including the Detailed Design Plan, Project
Plan, Operations and Maintenance Plan, and
Testing Plan. He also participated extensively
in quality assurance testing for the website.
TreePro™ Design
and Implementations
TreePro™
is a database program designed to help agencies
track and manage trees and work orders in
urban settings. Ken has performed quality
assurance and user interface testing for
the software, and has authored the program’s
User Manual. He has also provided user training
and technical assistance for implementations
of the software. Recent implementations
in which Ken has participated include those
for the cities of Irvine and San Clemente,
CA, and Bothell, WA.
Development
of BusSpeak™ for Pierce Transit
BusSpeak™
is a system developed (and currently being
extended) for Pierce Transit which takes
data from the Opticom™ transit signal
priority system; refines it to track movements
of individual transit vehicles; and matches
that data to a scheduling database to track
on-time performance. Ken has performed extensive
quality assurance testing on the BusSpeak™
system, including quantitative and statistical
analysis of data and testing of the user
interface, and is currently authoring the
User Manual.
Website and Visual Design
Ken took the lead in
establishing GHS' current visual and marketing
identity, including the design and graphics
for the current website.
