EasySignals Alliance (www.easysignals.com)
A national alliance formed by ITS companies to provide a new powerful and effective traffic management service
San Francisco, November 5, 2005 - PBS&J, Econolite, and Gray Hill Solutions today announced the formation of the EasySignals Alliance. EasySignals will provide innovative traffic management services to state and local agencies that meet and surpass industry guidelines. The companies made the announcement today in San Francisco at the ITS World Congress.
"The EasySignals Alliance was formed to offer 'best-of-breed' traffic management solutions to public sector traffic management clients," said Bob McQueen, PBS&J's national business sector manager for integrated management solutions. "Working in close harmony with excellent partners like Econolite and Gray Hill Solutions allows our organizations to offer a new standard in traffic management products and services."
About the EasySignals Alliance
EasySignals is a national alliance formed by three of the leading ITS companies in the United States. By pooling resources, expertise, and experience, the EasySignals Alliance offers public sector traffic management clients a new approach to metropolitan congestion management through easy access to a range of innovative products and services, available through the easysignals.com web portal.
The National Transportation Operations Coalition (NTOC) report, which was released this year, indicates that more than half of the agencies polled rate their own signal timing efforts as poor or worse. EasySignals provides cost-effective traffic system management through remote monitoring, system optimization, system management, data mining, and reporting. EasySignals will improve system operations and provide local agencies with crucial transportation information.
"EasySignals integrates new technologies to provide an elegant option for agencies that don't have the resources to routinely manage their transportation network. The system not only provides traffic management, but planning data and data mining. It is an excellent one-stop tool for traffic planning and engineering," said Gray Hill's Chief Operations Officer Jim Benson.
"This new approach to traffic management will allow local agencies to better operate their intersection networks," says Frank Provenzano, director of new business development at Econolite. "A web-based portal for monitoring an intersection network will give a local agency the flexibility and control required to make necessary system optimization decisions in a timelier manner."
