2004 for GHS was largely
focused on two groundbreaking projects in
the fields of GIS-based Advanced Traveler
Information Systems (ATIS) and transit management.
The first of these was the development of
the Glimpse™
real-time traffic website engine for the
Bay Area's Metropolitan Transportation Commission;
and the other was development of BusSpeak™
for Tacoma's Pierce Transit. 2005 sees us
branching into exciting new areas with new
clients and new markets. Please visit again

GHS,
subcontracting to Econolite
Control Products, is designing software
for a centre-to-centre (C2C) interface to
facilitate real-time communication and control
within Lake County, IL's Advanced Transportation
Management System (ATMS).
GHS has
teamed with GoTech to design and build a GIS-based
schedule application for Intercity Transit
(Olympia, WA). Visitors to Intercity's website
can select a route from an overview map of
IT's service area, view a detailed map of
the route, and get information about vehicle
schedules and trip times.
The implementation of
the 511® Traffic Site implementation,
using GHS' Glimpse™
engine, has been a watershed for GHS, allowing
us to build an exciting new technology for
a site that is viewed literally by millions.
The finished site, which receives an average
of 100,000+ hits/day, can be viewed here
(don't worry, the system can handle up to
a million hits/day). Phase 2, scheduled for
early 2006, will involve refinements to the
system.
2003 saw the proof-of-concept
demonstration for BusSpeak™,
followed by its successful implementation
for Pierce Transit; and 2004 witnessed Phase
2, adding and refining functionality. In 2005,
GHS is proceeding with Phase 3 of BusSpeak™
development, further refining and extending
its capabilities.
