The Need:
Institutions need to
track their trees to alleviate liability
concerns, protect valuable resources, maintain
the urban ecosystem, defend urban forestry
budgets, coordinate with other agencies,
maintain urban tree inventories, and manage
the maintenance process. They also need
to be able to keep data current with regular
updates from the field, and to manage trees
in groups as well as individually.
The Solution:
GHS sought to provide
its clients in urban forestry with an easy-to-use
and easy-to-learn software package to help
them manage their trees and exercise their
daily duties.
The Implementation:
GHS created a suite
of powerful, easy-to-implement, easy-to-use
urban forestry management products, allowing
urban foresters to create and manage inventories
and map tree locations. After several years
of distinguished service, these products
have now been retired.
The Results:
GHS has grown in new
directions, and is no longer developing
or marketing TreePro. We are, of course,
honoring all standing service commitments. |
